Make a difference as a Junior Indigenous Grad Coach for grades 8-10 at A D P Todd Secondary School in Prince George. This limited-duration contract role requires solid assessment skills and trauma-informed practices.
School District No. 57 seeks a dedicated educator with a valid BC Teaching Certificate and a passion for integrating Indigenous culture into the curriculum. Ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise in assessment strategies and creating a positive classroom environment. In this role, you will engage students through experiential learning and support their social-emotional development while fostering inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement assessment as and for learning strategies
• Integrate local Indigenous cultures into lesson plans
• Create inclusive learning experiences for all students
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively
• Collaborate with staff to develop strong relationships
Requirements:
• Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
• Knowledge of the redesigned curriculum and competencies
• Experience with trauma-informed practices
• Strong organizational skills and classroom management
• Willingness to travel as required
