Municipal Engineer / Technologist – Manitoba Municipal Infrastructure Opportunity to play a hands‑on technical role in shaping Manitoba’s municipal infrastructure. Contribute to planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, drainage, and roadway systems that support resilient, sustainable communities. Responsibilities

Apply sound engineering judgement to the

technical design and delivery

of municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure.

Prepare and review

engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports

in accordance with municipal and provincial standards.

Support projects through

detailed design and construction administration , ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Conduct

technical analysis and calculations

for civil systems, including water distribution, sanitary sewers, stormwater management, and roadworks.

Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and specialists across regional and national teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Contribute to field reviews, inspections, and coordination with contractors during construction.

Support knowledge sharing and provide technical guidance to junior staff as part of a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications





Diploma or degree in

Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology .

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or C.E.T. designation, or eligibility to obtain, is considered an asset.

5–8 years of hands‑on technical experience

in municipal infrastructure design and delivery.

Strong technical proficiency in

water supply, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and roadway design .

Experience working within

Manitoba’s municipal engineering environment , including applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Working knowledge of civil design software and tools used for municipal infrastructure projects.

Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents with a high level of accuracy.

Bilingual (French and English) communication skills are an asset.

Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,900 – $118,900

MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 – $107,700

The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
