Interior Health is seeking a passionate Mental Health Patient Safety Consultant to enhance patient-centred care for individuals with substance use issues. This full time role emphasizes quality improvement and safety practices.
Candidates will engage in supportive consultation and staff training while managing patient safety inquiries and adverse events. You will use your expertise to advocate for patient and family involvement in safety reviews and to lead essential quality initiatives across the Interior Health region. This position offers opportunities for influence and improvement within patient care services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead training on patient safety and quality standards
• Investigate adverse events and client concerns




• Develop processes for patient involvement in safety assessments
• Collaborate with leaders on quality objectives
• Utilize data for continuous quality improvement
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a health-related field
• 5-7 years of health care experience
• Background in data management and quality improvement
• Skills in facilitation and team leadership
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
