Manroc Developments Inc is looking for a Full time Mechanic – Alimak Climbing Equipment (NOC 72401)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $37.00 to $40.00/hour, with benefits.

Job Description

- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Inspect and maintain all safety systems.
- Operate special equipment.
- Perform repairs, PM’s and preventative maintenance on all Alimak Climbing Equipment as assigned by Mechanical Supervisor.
- Test repaired or replaced equipment for compliance.
- Document and notify Mechanical Supervisor of all work performed.
- Assist in a safe and healthy work environment for employees by properly implementing and understanding operating procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE), equipment operation, and effective communication.
- Conduct all necessary inspections, including 5-point audits, job observations, tours, and 5-point safety card assessments, as well as monthly routine checks (e.g., fire extinguishers and shop inspections), and submit findings to the appropriate personnel.
- Address and rectify any unsafe workplace conditions or practices.
- Perform physical inspections to verify that work adheres to company standards regarding quality, production, and safety.
- Identify, procure,



and organize the resources necessary for shop and equipment maintenance, ensuring an adequate supply of materials to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with the Mechanical Supervisor to plan preventative maintenance schedules that guarantee the availability of required equipment to support contractual obligations.
- Develop daily work instructions for maintenance personnel to ensure efficient use of equipment, materials, and resources.
- Ensure that all completed work aligns with the activities of subsequent shifts and communicate these updates to the lead hand through shift logs and phone calls as necessary.
- Participate in morning lineup meetings to convey shift activities and equipment status.
- Attend and engage in training and safety courses as required.

Job Requirements

- Mechanics Course and/or minimum 3 years’ experience underground Mining and working with Alimak Equipment, or related experience.
- Completion of Underground Common Core training.
- Willingness to learn all mechanical upgrades presented.
- Language in the workplace is English.
