Join the University of Toronto Mississauga as a Sessional Instructional Assistant for the Forensic Chemistry course starting September 2026. Engage with students through practical labs and lectures, fostering crucial forensic skills.
Ideal candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Forensic Science or Chemistry, supplemented with relevant coursework. Previous teaching experience is essential, alongside a comprehensive knowledge of various analytical instruments like HPLC, LC-MS/MS, and GC-MS. This position entails coordinating lab demonstrations while ensuring a rich learning experience for students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead laboratory sessions demonstrating core forensic techniques
• Maintain the Quercus course site for student accessibility
• Collaborate on exam preparation and printing
• Attend to student needs during office hours
• Assess student performance on assignments and exams
Requirements:
• Completed or in-progress Master's degree in relevant fields
• Teaching Assistant experience required
• Familiarity with forensic analytical techniques
• Registration as a graduate student at UTM preferred
• Skilled experience in relevant areas is a plus
Drive engagement and understanding in forensic chemistry with impactful teaching at UofT Mississauga.
