Overview

The University Relations team at Yukon University seeks a creative and collaborative communicator to strengthen our online presence through engaging digital content, storytelling, and audience engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Communications and Marketing, you will coordinate digital communications and marketing activities across a variety of digital platforms, including social media. You will support faculty, departments, and University leadership with communications and promotional needs. This fast‑paced role requires managing multiple projects while producing clear, engaging content for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has education and experience in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media, or a related field,



with experience creating digital content and supporting communications initiatives. Experience in post‑secondary education, government, or the public sector is an asset.

You Bring

- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
- Experience creating content for social media, websites, newsletters, and digital advertising products
- Knowledge of digital communications and audience engagement strategies
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Creativity, initiative, and attention to detail
- Cross‑cultural awareness and knowledge of Yukon First Nations and northern communities
