Job Description

The Smurfit Westrock Mississauga Tube facility is looking for a licensed Industrial Millwright 433A. This position is responsible for the preventative, predictive and troubleshooting of production equipment and building maintenance.

Job Duties

- Troubleshoot problems on plant equipment, facilitate and determine maintenance requirements, and perform root‑cause analysis to implement long‑term solutions.
- Respond to breakdowns on plant equipment, facilities and buildings, determining whether temporary or permanent solutions are needed based on production constraints.
- Maintain preventative maintenance programs and perform regular checks and lubrication on all equipment.
- Operate heating and energy supply systems.
- Assist in minor electrical repairs and reset safely.
- Assist in the installation of plant equipment and occasionally in equipment design.
- Determine required fits for various services, including antifriction bearings and pulley fittings.
- Handle heavy equipment safely and possess knowledge of foundation work.




- Contribute to the development of the plant occupational health and safety program.
- Work with suppliers to source repair and replacement parts.

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma.
- Certified Industrial Millwright 433A license.
- 3–5 years of experience in a Canadian manufacturing environment.
- Technical knowledge and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Positive, can‑do attitude and team‑focused mindset.
- Physically fit.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Italian proficiency is a definite asset.
- Willingness to travel to Italy for 2–3 weeks for training.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $44.50.
