Alliance Refractories is currently seeking a Warehouse Helper I for our West Edmonton facility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurately ship and receive materials.
- Store received materials in proper locations.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Maintaining a clean and secure working environment.
- Sort, tag and distribute incoming shipments.
- Report quality variances.
- Ensure pallets and loads are built correctly.
- Support inventory control with accurate documentation.
- Confirm inventory transactions are complete.
- Ensure all paperwork is complete to standard.
- Perform routine inspections on forklifts.
- Maintain an organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.
- Participate in clean-up of yard and facility.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Operate lifting devices (i.e. forklifts, hoists, elevating platforms, lift beams and swivel hooks).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse/shipping environment.
- Previous forklift experience and valid forklift certification required.
- High school diploma.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be detail oriented and able to maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Knowledge of safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to carry and move equipment and/or supplies up to 55 pounds.




- Ability to perform all duties in accordance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to determine the correct tools and equipment needed to complete a task.
- Able to effectively communicate, follow and understand verbal and written directions.
- - Availability to work weekends and overtime is a mandatory requirement for this position.
