Become a Community Withdrawal Support Counsellor with Stonehenge Therapeutic Community, focusing on assisting clients during substance withdrawal. This full time position involves community outreach and client support across Guelph and Rural Wellington.
As part of your role, you'll support individuals facing acute withdrawal symptoms by delivering personalized counseling while collaborating with families and other community service providers. Working mainly in community settings, you'll also assist in the operations of the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine Clinic. This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting clients in overcoming addiction and enhancing their overall health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs and coordinate services
• Deliver psychoeducational and supportive counseling




• Educate families on withdrawal support strategies
• Carry out crisis interventions when necessary
• Participate in community education initiatives
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Social Work or relevant field with 2 years' experience
• Experience in community-based withdrawal management
• Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR
• Clean G Driver’s License and vehicle for transport
• Experience working in rural settings is a plus
