As part of the Supply Chain Management Department, you will assist in the acquisition of goods and services essential for the operations of Canada’s largest open-pit copper mine. You'll engage in creating and tracking purchase orders while ensuring compliance with established policies. Your work will also include leading market analysis to discover sourcing opportunities and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote safety and adherence to environmental policies
• Monitor inventory levels collaborating with warehouse and production
• Administer the contracting life cycle for large projects
• Lead analysis on bids and supplier proposals for decisions
• Train end users on procurement processes and policies
Requirements:
• 5 years minimum experience in purchasing roles
• Degree/diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or relevant field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter able to manage multiple priorities
