In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Palliative Care Nurse Consultant practices in accordance with the standards of practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), as well as within a patient and family centered care model.
The Palliative Care Nurse Consultant is a member of the Northern Health Palliative Care Consultation Team.
The Palliative Care Consultation team functions in an advisory capacity to support and mentor primary care givers in every care setting where patients and their families receive palliative care. In collaboration with long-term care, acute and community teams, the Palliative Care Nurse Consultant is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, teaching, and evaluating palliative and end of life care services provided to clients and patients and their caregivers/families.

- palliative care pain and symptom management, and any palliative care certifications and extra education
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:30 to 16:30
