Jardeg has an Expression of Interest forApprentice and Journeypersons Carpenters for upcoming Infrastructure and Water projects with Technical Workforce Inc. in the Calgary area for the next 4 years
These positions have a 5 days on and 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends. At this time, only local candidates or candidates willing to relocate will be considered.
As a Carpenter Journeyperson, you will:
- Build forms for concrete
- Cut, shape, and join
- Look for and fix deficiencies
- Check accuracy of work,and makes adjustments as required
- Study blueprints or work planning
- Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Act as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
- Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
- General site upkeep
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Experience with concrete formwork required
- Previous experience working at a water infrastructure project is an asset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work
