The Esquimalt Recreation Centre seeks individuals passionate about swimming and safety. Reporting to the Aquatic Supervisor, you will employ your Lifesaving Society and First Aid certifications to help residents of all ages enjoy swimming safely. Your role is vital for fostering community connections through water activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure adherence to safety standards in the pool
• Conduct swimming lessons tailored to different abilities
• Help maintain a clean and secure aquatic space
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as required
• Offer feedback and assess skill advancement of participants
Requirements:
• Partial High School education preferred
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
• Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Instructor certification
• National Lifeguard Pool certification necessary
• Clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector
