Job Description

Retail Store Department Head 62010

Responsibilities

- Supervise and co‑ordinate activities of workers, hire and train or arrange for training of staff
- Order merchandise, establish work schedules, sell merchandise
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Supervision: Retail salespersons and sales clerks

Requirements

- Work site environment: First nations settlements
- Work setting: Rural area, remote location, willing to relocate. No fly‑in/fly‑out or rotational arrangements are available. Supermarket/Grocery Store
- Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
- Personal suitability:



Interpersonal awareness – the role serves an Indigenous community; candidates must demonstrate cultural awareness, respect, and the ability to work effectively in a community‑focused environment.
- Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Wage: $55,000.00 per year
