What is the opportunity?
As part of a growing RBC Royal Trust team, you will focus on supporting the Philanthropic Services business unit by efficiently, accurately, thoroughly, and quickly completing a variety administrative tasks. You will be accountable for the accurate tracking, processing, reconciliation, recording and reporting of transactions related to the administration of a charitable public foundation. Working independently and within a team, extremely strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively are important skills for success.
What will you do?
- Communicate directly with investment advisors, associates, donors, and charitable organizations efficiently and professionally
- Process grant recommendations with high output and accuracy, sometimes under extreme pressure
- Keep accurate and detailed records of tasks that are pending, in progress, and completed.
- Assist in the collection, facilitation, and co-ordination of information and documentation to ensure foundation operations and charitable gift fund administration is carried out in accordance with the terms of program documents, relevant legislation, client needs, company policy, and department objectives
- Balance grant recommendations at different steps of processing and approval, ensuring to follow up on incomplete tasks while simultaneously processing and completing recent tasks
- Other administrative, clerical, and support duties as required
What do you need to succeed?
Must haves:
- 2 - 5 years related estate & trust, charitable foundation,
or general administration and/or processing experience preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast pace, high volume environment and within deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Comfort working within process workflow based tasks and on a multidisciplinary team
Nice-to-have:
- Client servicing or donor servicing experience, preferably within a financial services institution or charitable organization an asset
- French language speaking and writing proficiency an asset
- Previous experience within the charitable sector an asset
- Previous experience in a wealth management firm administration an asset
