BMO is searching for an Equity Research Associate in Calgary to support their Canadian Oil & Gas team through strong analytical capabilities and research passion.
This position requires detailed financial analysis and model development while leveraging AI tools for enhanced research insights. Ideal candidates will have exposure to sell-side equity research, a keen grasp of industry complexities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Update and maintain financial and valuation models
• Analyze earnings releases and company financial statements
• Track industry trends and company-specific news
• Assist in preparing research reports and developing investment theses
• Respond to analysis requests from clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree; finance or economics preferred
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial data platforms
• Self-motivated with a robust work ethic
• CFA progress or designation is a significant advantage
