Support client wellness with MPA Resource Centre as a Casual Mental Health Worker in Vancouver. Focus on crisis intervention, life skills, and advocacy during versatile shifts.
This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with individuals in need at the Resource Centre. With a focus on psychosocial rehabilitation, you will assist clients in achieving their goals through recreational activities and essential support. You’ll need to demonstrate empathy while managing various challenges and working collaboratively with other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee client safety and compliance with guidelines
• Adapt activities for individual client needs
• Advocate for access to necessary services
• Observe and document client interactions
• Handle cooking and meal preparation tasks
Requirements:
• Degree in Behavioral Sciences or related qualifications
• Minimum two years’ mental health experience
• Understanding of psychosocial principles and methodologies
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification
• Ability to lift and handle physical tasks
