About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President for Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary. The successful candidate will be a key figure in the organization's transition to a Crown corporation model, with a focus on establishing and upholding the legal, governance, and accountability frameworks. This role demands a strategic leader with a law degree, a minimum of 15 years' of experience in legal, governance, and executive leadership, and a robust background in real estate and investment activities. The SVP will be responsible for providing legal and strategic counsel, particularly in the areas of major commercial transactions, real estate developments, and public-private partnerships. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required,



and experience with the legal and corporate structures of federal Crown corporations is a significant asset.

The ideal candidate for this position at the company will have a proven track record of balancing legal, operational, reputational, and public policy considerations in complex environments. They must be adept at advising Boards of Directors, executive leadership teams, and senior management on a range of strategic matters, including governance, enterprise risk, compliance, and regulatory issues.
