Are you driven by customer service and looking to grow in the insurance industry? As a Claims Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the administration of the Dealer Services Claims Department while delivering high-quality service to external clients and partners. This position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in a collaborative environment where client experience is a top priority.

Responsibilities

- Act as the first point of contact for incoming calls and provide professional and efficient customer service to a variety of stakeholders (claimants, financial institutions, medical and legal professionals, and dealerships).
- Respond to inquiries and complaints, assess situations, document interactions, and ensure appropriate follow-ups to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Investigate claims‑related inquiries, identify issues, and determine appropriate actions or escalate to Claims Analysts when required.
- Validate new claims by reviewing documentation for completeness and confirming coverage details prior to system entry.
- Set up current claims in the system, ensuring all required documents, authorizations, and prior claim information are included.
- Support Claims Analysts with administrative tasks, including managing workflows, correspondence, reminders, and incoming documentation.
- Communicate with claimants, employers, medical offices, insurers, and other stakeholders to gather or relay information as instructed.
- Coordinate third‑party services such as independent medical exams, functional capacity evaluations, and investigations when requested.

Qualifications





- Demonstrates excellent verbal communication skills in both French and English, with strong active listening abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle a variety of personalities and challenging situations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities in a high‑volume environment.
- Solid problem‑solving, conflict resolution, and decision‑making skills.
- Works effectively as part of a team and performs well under pressure.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a customer service or insurance‑related environment (claims experience considered an asset).
- High school diploma and ideally some post‑secondary education.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web‑based applications.
- Knowledge of insurance products or medical terminology (asset).
- Advanced proficiency in both English and French is required, as the role involves regular verbal and written communication with clients, partners and service providers.

Salary

The typical hiring range for this position is between $50,159 and $62,698 CAD per year. The offered base salary may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity considerations.
