Role Overview
As a Floating RVT across our Calgary and area practices, you will critically support teams during high demand, vacation coverage, and leaves, ensuring continuity of care for patients and seamless operations for our practices. Minimum 24 hours per week, with perks eligibility and paid mileage.
Responsibilities
- Build positive client relationships, displaying genuine care and compassion toward clients and their pets.
- Assist the Veterinarian with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.
- Travel between multiple VetCare specific clinics to cover other clinics for sick or coverage leave.
Qualifications
- Passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE.
- Good standing with the provincial regulatory association.
- Successfully completed a 2 or 3‑year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.
- Willingness to work at multiple sites across Calgary and area.
