Requirements

- Canadian resident, local to the job area, and eligible to work in Canada
- Enjoy caring for seniors
- Good sense of humour
- Successfully complete a Criminal Background Check including Vulnerable Sector (copy of Criminal Record Check required)




- Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR

Responsibilities

- Provide companionship and social stimulation
- Initiate and promote physical activity at any level
- Plan, prepare and serve meals, as needed
- Encourage clients to perform personal care and assist as needed
- Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes and laundry
- Accompany clients on outings such as doctor appointments or activities for mental and physical stimulation

COVID-19 Considerations

All caregivers are required to wear a mask while with a client. Personal protective equipment is provided. All caregivers must be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations and provide proof of vaccination.
