CapWest is a fast-growing forming contractor with a diverse project portfolio across the lower mainland. We are hiring a skilled Carpenter to join our construction team in Vancouver.

Responsibilities

- Pre-fab gang forms, install forms and ensure quality control of formwork
- Install forms to footings, retaining walls, interior walls, columns, slabs and stairs
- Strip and remove concrete formwork after pours
- Erect and build scaffolding for access and concrete formwork decks
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Accurately take measurements and calculate material quantities




- Help manage and prevent occupational hazards and ensure site meets safety standards
- Communicate with Carpenter Foreman regarding concerns, discrepancies or alterations during construction
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- 3+ years of carpentry experience
- Experience with framing, formwork and finishing
- Experience working on high-rise construction sites
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to work with hand and power tools and other construction equipment
- Ability to assess situations and identify potential hazards
- Comfortable working at heights

Salary

$30 to $42 CAD per hour.
