Lead impactful outreach and community support initiatives with Atira Women's Resource Society in Vancouver. As a full-time Director, you'll oversee programs focused on anti-violence and systemic change.
In this vital leadership position, the Director of Outreach and Community Programs will report directly to the Executive Director, Operations, guiding team managers and staff in delivering services rooted in anti-oppressive and feminist principles. This role is crucial for aligning program operations with Atira’s mission and values, enhancing community engagement, and driving preventive efforts against gendered violence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee outreach and shelter program operations and compliance
• Manage budgets, performance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Support program development and grant applications
• Ensure alignment with anti-oppression and harm reduction practices
• Advocate for and engage with diverse community needs
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred
• Extensive management experience in non-profit settings
• Solid knowledge of feminist theories and practices
• Proven leadership and communication skills
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle
