Northern Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the team at the Terrace Health Unit. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide longitudinal primary care to patients of all ages in a supportive, community-based setting. The NP will attach a patient panel and is eligible for financial incentives through the Provincial Attachment System via NPBC.
The role is well-integrated within the clinic and supported by a collaborative team, including public health staff and administrative support. The clinic uses C-MOIS Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for documentation and care coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide longitudinal primary care to a diverse patient population across the lifespan.
- Attach patients per the Provincial Attachment System (NNPBC).
- Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for documentation and clinical workflows.
- Collaborate with public health staff and other team members to support patient care.
- Participate in team-based care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Strong background in primary care.
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to culturally safe and trauma-informed care.

Salary Range:
- New Graduate NP - $149,382
- 1 Year Experience - $156,851
- 2 Years Experience - $164,320

Qualfications
Education and Experience
- Completion of BCCNM approved Master's degree level nurse practitioner program.
- Eligible for registration as a Nurse Practitioner with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

- Ability to communicate and collaborate with patients/clients/residents and families about health findings, diagnosis, treatment, self-care and prognosis.
- Ability to collaborate, consult with and formally refer patients/clients/residents to physicians and other health professionals when appropriate.
