Personal Support Worker – Home Support (Hugh)

Location: Intersection of Tutor Dr and Spitfire Dr, Comox, B.C

Wage: $25 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week

Employment type: Permanent, full-time position

Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Setting: Employer’s private home in Comox, B.C

Job Duties:

- Administer bedside and personal care while ensuring the comfort, safety, and dignity of the individual.
- Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk to help maintain mobility, strength, and overall well-being.
- Launder clothing and household linens ensuring cleanliness and proper organization of personal belongings.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe, sanitary, and comfortable living setting.
- Provide companionship through meaningful conversations, recreational activities, and emotional support.




- Provide personal care, including assistance with grooming, dressing, and hygiene needs.
- Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals that accommodate dietary preferences, restrictions, and health requirements.
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition or needs to family members.

Qualifications:

- Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Certificate: Valid CPR and First Aid Certificates
