Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien.Reporting to the Director, HRBP, Corporate, the Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic HR consulting and problem-solving solutions to the business leaders within Nutrien, primarily supporting Corporate business functions. This position collaborates as a strategic business partner with leaders within the assigned client groups to contribute to business direction and strategy through the effective development and deployment of HR initiatives. This role is instrumental in working with the business to coordinate and oversee large scale organizational transformation while aligning programs and practices to support Nutrien’s business strategy.Please note that this is a temporary full-time term position with an anticipated duration of approximately 16 months.What You’ll DoIn partnership global functional leadership teams, create, implement, and guide the human resources priorities & KPI in support of the functional strategic roadmapServe as an unbiased consultant to the business to mitigate risk to the company by ensuring fair treatment and a balanced approach for those impacted by the implementation of new policy, procedures and/or organizational change, problem resolution and human capital decisionsConsult with leaders to anticipate future human capital requirements based on business, industry and market conditionsProvide HR expertise to client groups as it pertains to total compensation (salary, incentives, benefits, pension), recruitment, organizational effectiveness, succession,
and learning & developmentAnticipate the impact that new or cyclical HR initiatives will have on the client groups and work with leaders to implement & execute them accordinglyDemonstrate strong knowledge around HR initiatives and policies and leverage the Center of Excellences (COE), external data, and leading practiceUtilize change management philosophy, advise, and guide client group leaders when designing future state changes (people, process, and structure), prepare change & communication plans, and engage with leaders to implementApply critical thinking and thought leadership to diagnose moderately complex performance issues and work with business leaders prepare solutions and support implementationSupport the implementation of HR initiatives and projects within the business functionWork with client groups to champion the enterprise culture of continuous improvement by ensuring the appropriate talent & succession structure, engagement model, performance management and recognition systems are in placeWhat You’ll BringUndergraduate Degree specializing in Human Resource (HR) ManagementMinimum of 8 years of HR business partnering work experience with proven career growth path in a global organizationAwareness of the Agriculture and Chemical industry practices and cycles would be an assetKnowledge of Human Resource governance practices across the geographical locations of Nutrien – particularly in North AmericaExperience with large ERP systems (Success Factors preferred, but not imperative) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skillsAbility to travel and work flexible hours to support business clientsExperience in a fast-paced growth environment, providing strategic direction from a human resource standpointExperience with problem solving in complex projects that have a company-wide impactExperience with North American human resource practices preferably in a multi-location environmentEnergetic, flexible, collaborative,
and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical human resource initiativesExceptional written, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate and present a human resource perspective to senior leadershipStrong verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with and influence individuals in different disciplines and at different levelsSuperior leadership skills: ability to influence and engage indirect reports and peersExcellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skillsProven ability working in a matrix environment to reduce typical business information silos in order to increase cooperation and communication and work more effectively across business functionsStrong mentoring, coaching experience to business clients and peers with diverse levels of expertiseExperience with various change management methodologies to support client groups through transformational change initiativesAbility to develop, implement and manage change effectivelyHighly motivated and able to lead and inspire a teamPossess a strong ability to develop relationshipsAble to work collaboratively across multiple functionsReady to make an impact with us?
