Maintenance Assistant - Full Time, Permanent

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting with general maintenance duties at AVENS– A Community for Seniors. This position can be part-time or full-time term permanent. Please indicate whether you prefer part-time or full time when applying. Duties include general labour and repairs, painting, general landscaping, equipment checks, and preventative maintenance for the Aven Manor, AvenCottages, and independent housing.

Qualifications

- Education or training related to maintenance, with a preference for plumbing, mechanical, and electrical
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outside for long periods of time, and to work with limited supervision
- Must be able to obtain, provide,



and maintain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check

Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
