Answer Precision Technologies (APT) is a rapidly growing automation and equipment manufacturer specializing in advanced Assembly Automation Systems, Precision Checking Fixtures, and Mould Tooling. We build complex, custom solutions - and no two projects are the same.
We’re looking for a highly experienced CNC Programmer/Operator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-mix environment and enjoys creating new programs daily!
As a custom manufacturing facility our products are as varied as our customers!
General Purpose:
The CNC Programmer is primarily responsible for the programming and efficient running of the various CNC machines. They interpret technical drawings and instructions to complete projects accurately while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines. This individual will work closely with toolmakers and designers to ensure that materials are cut to required specifications.
This is an afternoon shift position from 3:00pm to 1:30am, Monday - Thursday!

What You'll Do
- Program and run CNC machines (3-axis & 5-axis)
- Develop programs using Cimatron
- Interpret CAD drawings and apply GD&T;
- Set up tooling and optimize machining processes
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and toolmakers
- Support continuous improvement and mentor junior team members
What You Bring
- 5+ years of custom CNC programming experience
- Solid 3-axis and 5-axis machining background
- Proficiency in Cimatron is preferred
- Expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T;, and precision measurement
- Experience with gauges, fixtures, moulds, jigs, dies,
and automation components

Requirements
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Able to commute to the Kitchener location
