Heavy Equipment Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, results-driven 310T or 421A Heavy Equipment Technician to play a key role in supporting the performance and reliability of our diverse heavy-duty equipment. In this hands-on role, you will conduct safety inspections, diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, and perform repairs on a wide range of specialized equipment. You’ll join a collaborative, supportive environment with robust opportunities to build your skills and advance your career.

What You’ll Do

- Perform safety inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty and niche municipal equipment.
- Work on vac trucks, hydro vacs, street sweepers, refuse/recycling trucks, and more.
- Collaborate with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure efficient service.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Total Rewards

- Hourly Pay: $42.00 to $45.00/hr. (for licensed technicians)
- $2,500 Signing Bonus for Licensed 310T or 421A Technicians (subject to terms and conditions)
- Quarterly Profit-Sharing Bonuses – up to $1,500
- Training Bonuses – up to $3,000 for Manufacturer & Technician Training

Status – Permanent, hourly (Overtime paid in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act)





Schedule - Monday-Friday - occasional extended hours may be required based on operational needs.

Travel – 0% - 2%

What You Bring

- 310T Truck & Coach or 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License
- 3+ years of experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory abstract is required to operate and test equipment as part of job duties.
- Positive attitude, safety-first mindset, and a team-oriented approach

Additional Requirements

- Mechanical aptitude or previous exposure to heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstractCompletion of a job-related background check in accordance with applicable laws
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, with accommodation available where required in accordance with applicable laws.
