Opportunity: Associate (Private Wealth & Family Office)
We are working with a client in the multi-family office space that provides sophisticated financial stewardship to a select group of ultra-high-net-worth individuals. This firm operates as a dedicated hub for complex financial affairs, coordinating high-level strategy across global tax, investment, and lifestyle management functions.
The Role
This is a pivotal position within a high-performance team. You will support a portfolio of clients whose needs go far beyond traditional banking, involving the management of diverse global interests and high-value physical assets. We are seeking a skilled who excels in a "high-touch" service model where precision and discretion are the baseline.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Strategic Financial Oversight
- Develop and maintain integrated financial reporting packages and operational dashboards.
- Monitor liquidity and private investment activity, providing detailed cash flow projections.
- Audit lifestyle and business expenses to provide variance analysis and trend insights.
- Ensure the integrity of all financial data, from tax-readiness to bookkeeping oversight.
Intermediary & Advisor Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison between the client and an ecosystem of external specialists (tax, legal, and banking).
- Maintain an institutional memory of complex entity structures and historical transactions.
- Facilitate seamless communication with external accounting partners to ensure multi-jurisdictional compliance.
- Evaluate and summarize incoming communications from third-party investment managers.
Special Projects & Administration
- Conduct deep-dive financial modeling, such as burn-rate assessments and currency exposure analysis.
- Manage sensitive regulatory and banking documentation, including complex KYC/AML renewals.
- Coordinate philanthropic workflows, including tracking capital commitments and donation reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Professional Credentials: A CPA designation is essential for this role.
- Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in public accounting, private wealth management, or a dedicated family office environment.
- Technical Breadth: A strong grasp of the interplay between investment reporting and Canadian tax frameworks (Personal, Corporate, and Trust).
- Operational Style: A self-motivated "subject matter expert" who can work autonomously while managing the competing priorities of a sophisticated principal.
- Attributes: Absolute discretion, meticulous organizational skills, and the ability to simplify complex financial information for various stakeholders.
Education & Qualifications
- Active CPA Designation is a non-negotiable requirement.
