LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN), EMERGENCY

We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Wrinch Memorial Hospital.

Responsibilities

- Work within an interdisciplinary clinical framework in accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Practice.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions for Emergency Department patients.
- Coordinate health services, participate in discharge and/or care planning, and act as a patient advocate.
- Educate patients and families about illness, injury, and overall health promotion and wellness.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance therapeutic relationships based on respect.
- Provide care to patients across the lifespan within a team‑based model, initiating and following established plans of care.
- Recognize and respond to unexpected patient outcomes by communicating and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
- Document care provided and responses to incidents in accordance with established policies and Emergency Department expectations.
- Consult, confer, and collaborate with other health care providers as needed.

Shift Rotation / Hours of Work

Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)

Wrinch Memorial Hospital is a teaching hospital with an ongoing rotation of medical students, nurse practitioner students, and medical residents. It serves a population of 8,000 and offers the following services:

- Nine complex care beds




- One respite bed
- Thirteen acute care beds

- Wrinch Medical Clinic
- One secure psychiatric observation room
- Medical imaging, including ultrasound
- Retail pharmacy on‑site

The Hazeltons
