CMM Operator

Summary

Under the supervision of the Quality Control Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure the best quality product is delivered to customers in a timely manner.

Terms

Permanent, full time position. Rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

- Program the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using Camio Inspection software to complete dimensional inspection of completed product.
- Prepare reports to describe studies and prepare documents and layouts.
- Keep the equipment and the workstation clean at all times for the most accurate results.
- Perform project work, while adhering to deadlines, as required.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Experience operating Milling machine, Surface grinder, Drill press,



Hand tools and Precision instruments
- Ability to read a blue print and GD&T; interpretations
- Ability to use MS Word & Excel computer applications
- Strong organizational and workload planning skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Previous experience operating a CMM/Portable measuring equipment is preferred
- Knowledge/experience in Polyworks, LK Metrology CAMIO Software is a definite asset
