Fairmont Banff Springs seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Engineering to drive excellence in a 24/7 luxury hotel. This role combines technical expertise in MEP systems with hands-on leadership to foster a culture of safety and service.
Joining the Engineering leadership team, you will report directly to the Director and be responsible for overseeing daily operations, planning maintenance, and enhancing operational performance. Your role includes managing a skilled team to ensure efficient systems like plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety are optimal while supporting guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Director in daily engineering operations
• Direct and mentor an engaged team of maintenance professionals
• Ensure reliability of major hotel systems through preventive programs
• Manage capital projects, budgets, and contractor relationships
• Uphold compliance with safety codes and brand standards
Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years in engineering or maintenance
• 3-5 years in a management role within luxury resorts
• Robust technical understanding of critical systems
• Preferred qualifications include an engineering degree or certification
• Must be organized and detail-oriented for efficiency
