The City of Salmon Arm invites applications for two part time Lifeguards at the SASCU Recreation Centre. Duties include lifeguarding, supervising water activities, and instructing swim programs. Flexibility is a must, especially for weekends and holidays, to ensure consistent pool safety and patron support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer lifeguard duties in line with facility protocols
• Teach aquatic programs per Lifesaving Society standards
• Oversee pool activities throughout swimming sessions
• Engage with patrons and enforce facility rules positively
• Clean and patrol the poolside deck and facilities
Requirements:
• Current Standard First Aid certification
• National Lifeguard Certification essential
• Swim Instructor – LSS Certification is required
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays
• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check
