The City of Burlington is looking for a Specialized Program Instructor for the 2026/2027 season. This role requires passionate teaching of clarinet and saxophone to students at the beginner and intermediate levels. You'll facilitate lessons in various musical styles while adapting to the unique needs of your students in a hybrid working workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging clarinet and saxophone lessons
• Explore multiple genres like pop, jazz, and classical
• Prepare students for RCM theory exams and practical assessments
• Organize lesson materials and track student progress
• Collaborate with the Music Centre team as needed
Requirements:
• Music diploma or equivalent teaching experience
• Must pass a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
• Time management and strong interpersonal skills
• Teaching experience in private settings or ensembles
• Completion of city-mandated training sessions
