Working full time in a 12-month term, you'll use a client-centered approach to assist youth in identifying their needs. This role necessitates in-depth outreach, assessment, and collaboration with community resources. Ideally, candidates will have experience working with diverse populations and be fluent in a second language to address cultural and background challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver tailored support in education and employment integration
• Implement group activities that cater to youth needs
• Document all support activities and progress
• Engage with community service providers for relevant solutions
• Promote community opportunities for newcomer involvement
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years working with at-risk youth
• 2-Year Diploma in Child and Youth Care or better
• Proficiency in a non-English second language
• Knowledge of community mental health resources
• Understanding of immigrant settlement processes
