Reporting to the Special Education Lead, the successful candidate will provide direct observation and assessment of identified students within the educational setting using Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) principles. Working collaboratively with the school team, the successful candidate will develop individualized Behaviour Support Plans and Safety Plans and support school staff with the effective implementation and development of the Behaviour Support Plan and any classroom strategies through modelling, coaching, consultation, and feedback.Required QualificationsDegree in Psychology, Social Work or related fieldPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degreeCertification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI); instructor designation is considered an asset.Demonstrated experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other developmental disabilities.Skills & ExperienceProven ability to work collaboratively with wide range of stakeholders including Superintendents, Principals, Teachers, Child and Youth Workers, Educational Assistants, student and their families, and community partners.Comprehensive knowledge of community and social service agencies, including their mandates programs and servicesExperience working with diverse populations is considered an assetExperience working within the educational sector is considered an assetExcellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills, with a strong commitment to cooperative planning,
