The Company is seeking a Provost and Vice-President, Academic to play a pivotal role in the institution's growth and transformation. The successful candidate will be a distinguished scholar with a proven track record in academic leadership, teaching, and research,



and will be responsible for guiding the academic priorities and decision-making processes. This leadership position demands a strategic thinker with the ability to navigate complex challenges, make difficult decisions, and ensure the long-term sustainability and impact of the academic enterprise. The role also requires a strong commitment to Indigenization, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, and the ability to foster a culture where all members of the academic community feel respected, supported, and empowered.

The ideal candidate will have a forward-looking perspective on the future of higher education, particularly in the context of emerging technologies and changing learner expectations. They should be adept at balancing academic excellence, the student experience, and financial sustainability, and be prepared to design creative models that secure the institution's multidisciplinary character. As the chief academic officer, the Provost will be an effective communicator and relationship builder, working closely with the President, fellow vice-presidents, faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
