Role Overview

Colliers' Debt Advisory team in Edmonton is looking for an Associate to support and grow with an active commercial real estate debt brokerage practice. The role is in office, based in the Edmonton office.

Responsibilities

- Support underwriting and execution of CRE debt transactions including first mortgages, construction, bridge, and subordinate financing.
- Build financial models, cash flow analyses, and lender credit summaries.
- Prepare financing proposals and client-facing materials.
- Maintain lender databases, track mandates, and monitor Alberta capital market conditions.
- Manage pipeline and CRM activity across an active deal book.
- Participate in business development, including client outreach, lender prospecting, and pipeline development.

Qualifications

- Recent graduate in Finance, Economics, or Business.
- Previous internship experience in a similar role.
- RECA licensed, or committed to completing licensing within 3 months of start date.
- Competent in Excel, able to build and navigate a financial model independently.
- Commercially minded with a genuine interest in deals, markets, and client relationships.




- Clear communicator with high attention to detail and ability to manage priorities with limited supervision.

Compensation

Year 1: Base salary plus performance bonus. Transition to a commission-based structure with meaningful upside as you develop your book.
