Join Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Transfusion Medicine and Tissue Bank at our Bayview campus. This part-time role focuses on direct patient care with vital blood products and IV infusions.
This Regular Part-time position (0.4 FTE) is established for RPNs who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered care. You will implement a Primary Nursing care model and work closely with a diverse healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Shift work includes weekdays covering both day and evening hours.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer blood products and IV Iron infusions to patients
• Conduct therapeutic phlebotomies in line with clinical best practices




• Collaborate effectively with a team of healthcare providers
• Ensure clear communication relating to patient needs
• Prioritize patient identification and safety principles
Requirements:
• Registered with the Ontario College of Nurses
• Hold an RPN Diploma and current BCLS certification
• Certificate in Venipuncture and IV procedures required
• Previous oncology experience is an asset
• Dedication to ongoing skilled education
