Job Description

- The Junior Foreman supports the Foreman.
- Lead the dock crew to safely unload and load linehaul and city equipment to meet service targets.
- Lead on safety and compliance to create a safe work culture and adherence to processes.
- Operate a forklift and perform some manual work.
- Conduct daily quality task audits and report any gaps.
- Report daily on any equipment issues with forklifts and hand jacks.
- Report daily on any near misses.
- Provide leadership, able to mentor and guide the crew.
- Cover Foreman shifts at short notice, including vacation days.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of Winnipeg and surrounding rural towns to plan delivery runs.
- Leadership skills to clearly set expectations and assign tasks with company safety and service targets in mind.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including late evenings, early mornings, weekends, with short notice.
- Willingness to learn to run the AM dock.
- Ability to train current hires.
