Due to an increase in workload, we are hiring multiple Mechanic positions at the Army Training Centre – Central in Meaford. The role reports to the Repair Supervisor and focuses on repairing automotive and heavy equipment, small engines, buses, and miscellaneous equipment.

Duties And Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and heavy equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues accurately
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards
- Replace or repair defective parts using appropriate tools and techniques
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times
- Look up and order parts as required

Education Requirements

- Must have 310T




- Truck and Coach Technician (preferred) and/or Automotive Service Technician

Work Experience Requirements

- Valid DZ‑Class Driver License
- Clean driving record
- 2 years of mechanical experience

Skills, Abilities, And Other Requirements

- Proficient knowledge and understanding of the correct use, maintenance and safety procedures of hand tools and powered equipment related to this work
- Knowledge of air brakes and hydraulic systems
- Robust troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance; continuous residency in Canada for the last 10 years is mandatory
