Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking a skilled Local Welder for its Abbotsford project. This position requires solid knowledge of welding standards, blueprints, and the tools of the trade. You will work alongside Pipefitters and apprentices to enhance shop productivity and mentor less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure welds meet quality standards and pass inspections
• Perform welding tasks per blueprints and specifications
• Operate power tools and relevant equipment
• Collaborate with Pipefitters and craft team for workflow
• Mentor apprentices and support their growth
Requirements:
• Valid Journeyperson Welder Certification (Red Seal)
• WHMIS 2015 and CSTS 2020 certified
• Exceptional blueprint and isometric reading skills
• Ability to meet or exceed welding production targets
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs safely
