Reports to: General Supervisor

Shift: 14x14

Allowances: Additional premiums and allowances are associated with this position due to location.

Safety Sensitive: Yes – drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required.

Travel: 100% within Canada and potentially the USA

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation.

Key Job Responsibilities

- Represent Komatsu and support underground mining equipment through a rotational schedule.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair underground mining equipment.
- Perform maintenance, service, and repair on multiple equipment at our client’s operations.
- Commission new equipment, including pre-delivery inspections and on-site startup.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve recurring issues.
- Support customers with technical expertise and recommend improvements.
- Complete detailed service reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams.
- Mentor junior technicians and support customer teams.
- Maintain a strong safety‑first mindset in all work.

Qualifications / Requirements





- Valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal is an asset).
- Experience with underground mining equipment is considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and machine control systems, with the ability to apply them in the field.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a results‑driven mindset.
- Detail‑oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to manage changing priorities in a quick‑paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- No restrictions for accessing mine sites.
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel and work overtime as required.
