Job Title
Lead hand/Carpenter
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate field crew activities on site to ensure quality and timely completion of tasks.
- Perform advanced carpentry duties.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and productive job site.
- Assist in training and mentoring less experienced carpenters and laborers.
- Work hand and hand with our site foreman, acting as a backup and stepping in to cover any gaps as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required safety forms and reports.
- Hands‑on work – demo, jackhammer, sandblasting, coatings, grouting, carbon fiber, epoxy injections, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry, preferably involving formwork and concrete restoration projects.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide a team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks and comfortable working from heights.
- Must be open to traveling.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to and from project sites locally and/or out of town.
- Ability to pass Vector Construction’s drug screening program.
- Must be flexible in working day shift and night shift hours, depending on the job schedules.
- This position will be an hourly paid position; hourly rates will depend on experience and may range from $30–$36/hr.
