Become an Indigenous Health and Wellness Specialist with VNFC, enhancing the health outcomes of clients in Victoria. This role requires expertise in holistic and culturally safe care.
You will work directly with Indigenous communities, driving access to essential health care and social services. Utilizing a trauma-informed approach, you’ll develop personalized wellness plans and engage clients in their health journeys. Your efforts will support those facing various barriers to care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs for health care access
• Create culturally secure health care plans
• Drive client transportation to medical services
• Conduct health education and community empowerment initiatives
• Foster collaborations with community agencies for client benefit
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work or equivalent experience
• Experience in Indigenous health services
• Knowledgeable about cultural safety practices
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license
• Recent criminal record check required
