Job Description

You will support the design and delivery of critical nuclear infrastructure projects that power communities safely and sustainably. As an Engineering Drafter/Designer with our Nuclear team, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce high‑quality technical drawings and models that bring complex nuclear designs to life.

Your Impact

- Develop detailed engineering drawings and 3D models for nuclear facilities in alignment with project standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to translate concepts into precise technical documentation.
- Apply knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and tolerances to produce high‑quality deliverables.
- Support the delivery of nuclear projects by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality across all design outputs.
- Review and revise drawings based on project feedback, ensuring alignment with safety and compliance standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards, tools, and workflows.
- Coordinate across disciplines to ensure integrated and constructible design solutions.
- Uphold strict adherence to nuclear quality assurance processes and documentation requirements.
- Play a vital role in advancing clean energy infrastructure that supports long‑term sustainability.
- Contribute to projects that enhance the safety, sustainability, and modernization of Canada’s nuclear infrastructure.

The Skills That Set You Apart

- Diploma or degree in Engineering Design, Drafting Technology, or a related field, ideally in Mechanical and/or Structural.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering drafting and design, ideally with a focus on mechanical and structural on complex heavy‑industry projects, ideally nuclear.
- Knowledge and understanding of ASME Y14 series, CSA N285 & ASME Sec III, B31.3/31.1 Codes, and ASME B36.10, B36.19,



B16.5.
- Proficiency in 3D AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and, ideally, Inventor; experience with 3D modeling and drawing management systems.
- Ability to interpret and develop detailed technical drawings from engineering inputs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in high‑stakes environments.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills in multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of configuration management and document control processes within regulated industries.
- Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment with a strong focus on quality assurance and safety.
- Passionate about precision, collaboration, and contributing to projects that matter to Canada’s energy future.
- Required: Able to meet and maintain Security Clearance requirements to work on nuclear projects in Canada.

- Competitive salary ranges by province: AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT – $66,700 to $88,400; MB & ON – $60,900 to $83,800; NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC – $60,300 to $80,000.
