The Role
- Lead and grow the small animal neurology service, managing a diverse caseload from consultation through diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
- Utilize advanced imaging and in-house diagnostics, including CT and (upon installation) MRI
- Provide medical and surgical management of neurologic conditions, in close collaboration with emergency and other specialty teams
- Guide technologists and contribute to rounds, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement
- Communicate clearly with referring veterinarians to ensure coordinated patient care
Requirements
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) and eligibility for licensure with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association
- Board-certified in Neurology (ACVIM or ECVN) or residency trained in Neurology
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
- Comfort with advanced imaging and multidisciplinary case management
