Join the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre as a Cultural Activities Coordinator, focusing on engaging women and children through enriching programs in a supportive setting.
This full-time role requires a strategic planner to develop and implement educational and recreational activities reflective of DEWC’s mission. With responsibility for program execution, your two years of relevant experience will help maximize member involvement. You will also collaborate closely with other staff to deliver comprehensive support aimed at empowering vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement cultural and educational programs
• Engage with DEWC members for feedback and participation
• Work alongside staff to ensure integrated services




• Address gender-based and social issues in programming
• Maintain records and scheduling for activities
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience working with low-income women
• In-depth understanding of issues faced by the DTES community
• IT proficiency and social media skills required
• Must obtain First Aid & NVCI Certification
• Indigenous women and women of color encouraged to apply
