Become a Health Care Aide with the Mikisew Cree First Nation and provide essential support to Elders in Fort Chipewyan. Engage in person-centered care while working in a cooperative atmosphere.
You will support Elders by assisting with daily activities, administering medications safely, and monitoring their health conditions. This role requires a compassionate nature and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a care team. Upholding the dignity and comfort of residents is crucial in creating a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support daily living activities for Elders
• Administer and monitor medications according to protocols
• Record and track vital signs regularly




• Facilitate resident mobility to improve quality of life
• Report any changes in emotional or physical health
Requirements:
• Valid Health Care Aide certification needed
• Experience with senior care is valuable
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Holds a Class 5 AB driver’s license
• Able to work in a physically demanding role
